Dancing Bears in India
The dancing bears of India are nothing more than a cruel tradition which should be outlawed. The dancing bears “career” begins when they are mere cubs around the age of five weeks old, when they are cruelly snatched from before theirs mothers eyes and can do nothing but watch as the poachers slaughter their mother.

Panda Bear, classified Ailuropoda_melanoleuca in the bear family, is listed as an endangered species, and is now limited to the provinces of Sichuan, Gansu, and Shanxi of China.

Asiatic Black Bear
The Asiatic Black Bear, also known as Ursus thibetanus, the Tibetan black bear, the Himalayan black bear, or the moon bear, is a medium sized, sharp-clawed, black-colored bear.

Sloth Bear
Sloth Bears or Melursus Ursinus, is found throughout India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan. About 20 years ago, these species were fairly common in India and Sri Lanka, but are harder to see now-a-days.

The word Bear baiting, as amply clear from the name itself, is a teasing act where bears are tied to a post after removing their nails and claws, and attacked by dogs.
